Band Hero 2 (stylized as Band Hero II) was a partially-finished, planned sequel to Band Hero. An early Xbox 360 prototype build of Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock (titled "Guitar Hero 6" in the prototype build) dating from December 1, 2009 was leaked on December 3, 2024, containing leftover data from the game, confirming that a Band Hero 2 title was in development.[1] However, it was never released or announced.

The Guitar Hero 6 prototype build of December 1, 2009 features three sortable sources by default including Guitar Hero 6, Band Hero 2, GHTracks, as well as "music test" songs. It also supports downloadable contents from Guitar Hero World Tour and newer titles (including Disc Imports; Guitar Hero: Metallica import also playable) excluding the final Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock DLC pack, Darkest Hour Track Pack.
