GHTV Reloaded (or GHTVR for short) is a community-made patch and private server for Guitar Hero Live. This patch features new, unofficial GHTV private servers, created to preserve the GHTV song library and to continue the GHTV experience after the official servers were shut down. It was officially released on December 1, 2022 with a closed alpha run and a public beta run earlier that year.
Being an unofficial GHTV private server separate from the official GHTV server, all players start off fresh at Level 1 regardless of the progress they had made on the official server. However, players on the GHTV Reloaded Discord server can freely add Hero Cash to their GHTV Reloaded server accounts for Play Tokens and other goodies, and the coin price of Guitar Upgrades, Hero Powers, and Play Tokens were reduced. Also, when creating a GHTV Reloaded account on the Discord server, players can choose if they want to unlock everything from the start or unlock them normally through progression.

Guitar Hero Live: TV Edition[]
Released on January 11, 2023 by The Guitar Hero Nerd, Guitar Hero Live: TV Edition—also known as GHLite for short—is a modified version of Guitar Hero Live without the on-disc "Live" features (including the on-disc setlist removed), only featuring the GHTV game mode specifically for GHTV Reloaded to reduce game file size.[19] It is currently available for PlayStation 3 to be used in the RPCS3 emulator.
GHTV Reloaded Companion App[]
Released on December 13, 2022 by Nathan3197 was a Guitar Hero Live Colour Picker tool for the PlayStation 3 version of Guitar Hero Live and its modded variants, developed in the Unity Engine.
After a few fixes, it was renamed to GHTV Reloaded: Mod Tools by v1.1, which included Hyperspeed, allowing RPCS3 players to adjust the speed of the highway from 50%–300% (defaults to 100%, recommended at 200% for Hyperspeed users).
v1.2 was released on December 21, 2022, which included GHCripto's toggleable HOPO fix to help identify HOPO notes while in Hero Power, as well as a Gem Maker to create and customize gem notes.

GHTV Reloaded: Mod Tools v1.3 beta.
v1.3 was released on January 24, 2023, which included many fixes and adjustments, support for Guitar Hero Live: TV Edition, downloads of the GHTV Reloaded mod, a guide to use a Guitar Hero Live controller in RPCS3, a redesigned Gem Changer tool, and additional quality-of-life community mods:
- Hero Power Patch (by GHCripto)
- No Video Patch (By The Guitar Hero Nerd): Disables videos.
- No Streak Patch (By Nathan3197): Disables note-streak milestone notes.
A minor v1.3.1 update was released on February 2, 2023 which included few bug fixes as well as including Hyperspeed for offline Live mode.
v1.3.2 was released on May 23, 2023. This minor update is a preparation for the upcoming v1.4; Gem Maker will be able to create gem packs files for iOS/tvOS and RPCS3 in preparation for a v1.4 update. Save files has been migrated in preparations for v1.4 as well, along with several bug fixes for setup, GHLite users, etc.
v2.0 was said to have support for the Wii U and iOS/tvOS versions of GHTV Reloaded V2, as well as the ability to create custom user-based streaming schedules (replacing Shred-A-Thon in Channel 3) that anyone can join into,[2], Discord Rich Presence for Discord users to display the GHTV streaming mode and song they are playing to Discord,[20] view advanced leaderboards with extra stats,[14] and more. The features for "v2.0" of the Mod Tools would be included in a new program called "GHTVR PyTools", announced on October 14, 2024 and released on October 20, 2024.
While there currently is GHTVR PyTools, the GHTV Reloaded: Mod Tools would resume development as GHTV Reloaded Companion App, announced on January 27, 2025.[21] It will be overhauled to support online functionality with the GHTV Reloaded server, becoming an extension of the game itself.

- ↑ GHTV Reloaded V3 is compatible on all unmodified hardware with it. The PlayStation 3 version is also still compatible with RPCS3.
- ↑ PlayStation 4 version also backward compatible on PlayStation 5 hardware.
