Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Mobile (listed as GUITAR HERO 6 on the Android Market/Google Play Store[2]) is the latest entry of the Guitar Hero Mobile series based on Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock developed and published by Glu Mobile for Android, BlackBerry, and J2ME mobile devices. However, it was later removed from digital stores along with Guitar Hero 5 Mobile and the other Guitar Hero Mobile games and servers are currently offline, making it impossible to upgrade the MIDI songs to full MP3s.
There was also a second version of Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Mobile for BREW/Java-based devices that had a setlist of new songs titled Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Mobile More Music but with less songs than the original mobile game, consisting 10 songs in that version.
Gameplay[]
Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Mobile plays similar to the previous mobile Guitar Hero games, having three lanes of notes (green, red, and yellow) that come down a highway and the player taps the notes as they come across the fret line or use a phone's keypad's keys to hit notes. Additionally, this game was optimized to use physical controls of the Sony Xperia Play,[4] an Android 2.3 phone with a touchscreen and a built-in slide-able gamepad with PlayStation buttons but other controllers may work with it.

From time-to-time, there will be Star Power phrases that when successfully hitting all notes consecutively in the Star Power phrase will grant the player 25% Star Power energy to their Star Power meter and the ability to activate Star Power immediately. There is no whammy button to acquire additional Star Power energy.
While Guitar Hero 5 Mobile had Drums and Bass support, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Mobile dropped those instruments and only has Guitar playable in favor of Quest mode and full-length songs on all available platforms.
Quest mode[]
- Main article: Quest
Like in the main game, Career mode in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Mobile and Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Mobile More Music is referred to as "Quest" mode and functions similar to the main game's Quest Mode but is shorter with less abilities. Both the main mobile game and the More Music version share the same tiers and abilities but with different songs in their setlist.
Instead of choosing a character, you play as certain characters (Johnny Napalm and Pandora) through tiers named after them, their Warrior Mode transformations, and a boss battle in the end. Each character (or rather "tier") has their own passive ability that takes effect throughout their entire tier and transforming into Warrior Mode (their second tier) increases their ability's effect.
Soundtrack[]

Being based on Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Mobile at its core has 15 songs from it as MIDI covers with more as downloadable content and unlike the previous Guitar Hero Mobile games, they are full songs and they could be upgraded to full official MP3 versions when the servers were online.[5]
The second edition of the game, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Mobile More Music, has 10 songs in its setlist—5 songs less than the original mobile game. Most quest tiers are locked until the previous tiers are (mostly) completed first. Completing two songs in the first quest tier unlocks the second quest tier.
Most quest tiers are locked until the previous tiers are (mostly) completed first. Completing three songs in the main game unlocks the second quest tier while completing two songs in the More Music version unlocks the second quest tier due to the setlist being shorter in the More Music version.

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Mobile and the More Music edition has 16 in-game achievements that can be unlocked by completing certain tasks while playing songs. These achievements take an appearance of a crimson guitar pick (orangish unlocked) but unlike other games, they don't have individual designs.

Android compatibility issues[]
- While Guitar Hero 5 Mobile is somehow able to be played on newer Android operating systems despite the incompatibility warnings (having an SDK/API level of 1; Android 1.0.0 minimum), Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Mobile (having an SDK/API level 5; Android 2.0.0 minimum) would crash on newer Android operating system upon launch.

- Nvidia Shield Portable on its latest firmware (Android 5.1) can play v1.2.2 of Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Mobile with no graphical glitches but the screen is forcefully rotated -90° in portrait mode. Its built-in controller uses basic gamepad controls.
- The game on Android could also have scaling issues on some tablets with the game not being scaled to full screen.
