While Guitar Hero III: Backstage Pass's theming is based on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, the game contains 5 songs from Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero II and Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock covered in MIDI format and shortened in an abridged version with vocals track also covered on lead guitar in some songs.

These songs can be played during the Rehearse minigame, gigs, and interviews, and can also be heard during the Busking minigames and on the main menu.

	1970	"War Pigs"	Black Sabbath	Guitar Hero II	1. You start with this song from the beginning.
	1982	"I Love Rock N Roll"	Joan Jett and the Blackhearts	Guitar Hero	2. Unlocked at the start of Day 3 of the tutorial.
	2005	"Woman"	Wolfmother	Guitar Hero II	5. Complete the tutorial. The final task of the tutorial is to release a recorded Single at the Garage Record Label. The rest of the Districts will also be unlocked.
