News

11th November 2018: Starting next week on December 1, 2018, GHTV mode in Guitar Hero Live will officially shut down and be discontinued.^[1] This was announced back in June 2018 along with the removable of the iOS game on the iTunes App Store.

20th October 2015: Guitar Hero Live has been released for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and iOS devices in North America and Australia. The European version will be released on October 23, 2015.

14th April 2015: Guitar Hero Live has been announced for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360, and Xbox One and is being developed by FreeStyleGames.^[2]

25th February 2015: The Guitar Hero franchise might be returning for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.^[3][4]

5th December 2012: Guitar Hero 7 was discovered to be in development in 2011 but was canceled.^[5]

9th February 2011: The Guitar Hero series was discontinued.

Featured article of the month

"Through the Fire and Flames" is a power metal and speed metal song made by DragonForce in 2006. Originated in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock as the proclaimed hardest song in 2007, this song returned in Guitar Hero: Smash Hits in 2009 and in Guitar Hero Live's GHTV game mode on February 3, 2016 in the Shred-A-Thon special music channel. This song was first teased in Guitar Hero Live's GHTV mode on January 11, 2016.
