The back of the Kellogg's "Guitar Hero"-branded cereal boxes described each toy.
- Guitar Hero Mini Game: "Mini-version of the world's hardest rockin' game — push buttons and "strum" to play!"
- Star Power Meter: "Keep the rock star rockin' or get "booed" off the stage!"
- Power Jamz: "Play guitar chords and riffs and punch the whammy bar to rock even harder!"
- Half Stak Amp: "Mix lead, bass, and rhythm guitar and take it to 11!"
Each toy features three colored GRY buttons, a power switch and an audio speaker. The Guitar Hero Mini Game and Star Power Meter also features an LCD screen for visuals.
Apparel[]
Additionally, Kellogg's branded Guitar Hero products contained "Guitar Hero tokens" that can be used to acquire mailable prizes including a black Guitar Hero III Rock Meter T-shirt or a black Guitar Hero beanie cap for a number of "Guitar Hero tokens" acquired from their products or a split with cash.
- Kellogg's Guitar Hero Hat offer: To acquire the beanie cap, product buyers would have to send in a form and 5 "Guitar Hero tokens" or $3.99 and 1 "Guitar Hero token." It’s a one-size-fits-all hat, so expect a plastic strip with holes on the back for adjustments.
- Kellogg's Guitar Hero Cereal T-Shirt offer: To acquire the Guitar Hero III Rock Meter-themed black T-shirt, product buyers would have to send 6 "Guitar Hero tokens" or $6.99 with 1 token and the official order form. The shirt was said to be 100% cotton, pre-shrunk, came in black, and was available in these adult sizes: S (34–36), M (38–40), L (42–44) and XL (46–48).
