Nothing Else Matters is a song by trash metal band Metallica, featured on their self titled album with the undertitle "The Black Album". It is also featured in the game Guitar Hero: Metallica. Even though Metallica is considered a metal band, Nothing Else Matters is more of a classic rock ballad than a actual metal song. The song reached #11 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart as well as top-ten positions on many European charts, possibly due to it's radio friendly nature.
This is possibly the easiest song in the game. The guitar is very simple, and the opening keeps on repeating on the rthym guitar, playing G/R/Y/B/Y/R/G, while holding on to green note the entire time until the lead comes in. The bass is even more simple, as you start when James starts sings, and the bass stops playing when the guitar solo is over, making just have a little over 300 notes for bass on Expert. There should be nothing here to fail you out unless you take water over your head by playing on Expert when you are only capable of playing on Medium.
In reality Edit
It is stated that James wrote this song while talking with his girlfriend on the phone, on hand holding the phone, the other hand writing down the notes. It it also the only song where James recorded all the guitar parts, and Kirk did nothing for the song.
