Party Play is a feature in Guitar Hero 5, Band Hero, and Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock that allows players to join in and play on-going random songs together that are playing on the title screen or main menu on any instrument and difficulty of their choice. Players can also quit during gameplay and when all players quit, the song and stage continues to play in the background until someone rejoins and continues the song.

This type of feature also exist in the GHTV game mode of Guitar Hero Live where the player can join in any on-going music channels to compete with other players in the streaming music channel but they'll only earn little XP and coins in a song if they joined late in a song.
