Guitar Hero III Setlist

The setlist section in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock's Quickplay game mode.

Quickplay (written as Quick Play in Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero II and Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s) is a mode of play in every Guitar Hero and the Guitar Hero Arcade (which uses the layout of said mode for GH3) in which a player picks any unlocked song they wish to play and play it immediately.

Quickplay in other Guitar Hero games[]

Guitar Hero World Tour is the first game to have more songs unlocked in Quickplay unlike the previous games above. Players can create a setlist of up to six songs in Quickplay. This means that a player doesn't have to pick a new song every time one is finished.

Quickplay is usually the best option for casual players of Guitar Hero, but the player cannot choose a guitar, hero/character or venue/tier. In the first two main series Guitar Hero games and Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s, the character that appears depends on the song the player decides to play, while the guitar and venue are randomly selected. In Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, all three (character, guitar and venue) are selected at random (only in non-Aerosmith songs in Guitar Hero: Aerosmith), while in Guitar Hero World Tour until Guitar Hero: Van Halen, randomly generated already-created custom characters take their place. Aerosmith characters, Metallica characters and Van Halen characters in Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Guitar Hero: Metallica and Guitar Hero: Van Halen respectively appear in their own songs. In Guitar Hero 5, Band Hero and Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, the player finally has the opportunity to select which character plays which instrument (for the vocalist, a male is selected if the song has male vocals, while a female is selected if the song has female vocals, though that's not the case for the song "Kids", which features both a male and female vocalist).

Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero II and Guitar Hero Encore: Rock the 80s had the leaderboards after playing a song in Quickplay. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock has a button in Options/Settings for the leaderboards.

On Guitar Hero Arcade, when there's no one playing or after reaching a hi-score in a song, the leaderboards pops up.

The PlayStation 2 versions of the Guitar Hero games didn't have a downloadable tab unlike the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions due to the fact both version have internet access to the store of the each others console name.

Using the "Unlock all songs" cheats in said menu in options does said cheat to have all the songs available upon opening Quickplay.

The On-Demand Songs menu in the now-discontinued GHTV mode in Guitar Hero Live used the Quickplay layout like in the main game.

Quickplay+[]

In Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, Quickplay has been renamed to Quickplay+ as it includes new features. In Quickplay+, players can do song challenges like in Guitar Hero 5 to earn extra stars.

Power Challenges, which are new in Warriors of Rock, are challenges based on scoring and earning power stars. Players are allowed to use up to two warrior powers they unlocked in Quest Mode.
