At the start of the song it is easier to hold the blue button down when the orange note is there. this will not work for doubles
If you are going for the FC, the first area to watch out for is the OBYRYB(YO) section around 90 notes in, the pace of it makes it hard. Strum the oranges slider and hold yellow down after hitting the red note so you are ready for the chord. The sliders later in the song can be strummed, but the solo is an FC killer.
