The Sex Pistols were formed by the singer Johny Rotten. Sid Vicious, the band's original bassist, died in 1979 from a drug overdose.
Their song "Anarchy in the U.K.", made in 1977, was in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, and "Pretty Vacant" was in Guitar Hero World Tour, both of which are newer recordings of the songs, as original copies could not be found.
Johnny Napalm is based on Sid Vicious whilst Judy Nails could be based on his girlfriend Nancy Spungen.
