Trivia[]
Train Kept a Rollin' released in 1974 on the album "Get Your Wings". According to Stephen Davis's "Walk This Way: The Autobiography of Aerosmith", Joe Perry was at a Yardbirds gig at Westport in 1966 and saw Jimmy Page performing the song (a cover of Johnny Burnette and the Rock and Roll Trio's 1956 cover of Tiny Bradshaw blues number of the same name) and was blown away by the performance. To quote Perry himself "They did 'Train Kept A-Rollin'' and it was just so heavy. They were just an un-fuckin'-believable band."[1]
Along with Aerosmith, other bands such as Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Motörhead, Racer X, Dread Zeppelin, Shakin' Stevens and The Sunsets, Alex Chilton, Hanoi Rocks, Tragically Hip and Twisted Sister have covered Train Kept a Rollin'.
