The base score for any given song is obtained by hitting every single note in the song at a x1 multiplier. (To obtain a sample base score figure, pick a song on Easy and deliberately overstrum after every ninth note, while holding sustained notes as little as possible.) Lou is a devil type of character playable on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. Lou is unlockable once you beat him in a Guitar Battle at the end of any career on any difficulty. His name could be a reference to Lucifer. You also unlock his Guitar called the "Obliviaxe", which looks like a skeleton corpse (the headstock is a skull, the fretboard is a spine, and the body is a rib cage). read more...

Guitar Hero: Metallica is a game in the Guitar Hero series that's based around the band Metallica. It was released on March 29th, 2009 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii. It was released for the PlayStation 2 on April 14th, 2009. UK Release of all versions was 29th May 2009. Some UK stores (Chips) gave away Metallica Faceplates with the PS3, X360 and Wii Solus versions. This faceplate only fits the World Tour Guitar. Also available in the UK is a Solo Guitar Bundle, containing the game, a World Tour Guitar and separate Metallica faceplate. read more...

Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits is for the Nintendo DS. It is the second sequel in the On Tour series. It is made up of popular modern songs.

The game was announced on March 5, 2009. There aren't many big changes in gameplay, although Vicarious Visions stated that they worked on the strum mechanics. It will include a new single-player career mode using "fan requests" to create a new non-linear progression through the songs in the games. Fan Requests are objective-based scenarios in which the player must achieve a certain goal, usually in Points, Stars, Percentage, etc. These were added to help move from gameplay that was "just going, playing a venue, and then moving on to the next one" and instead to "open the world up". read more...

Quest Mode is a new game mode in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. The mode consists of eight warriors gaining powers to rescue the Demi-God of Rock after he was imprisoned by the Scourge of Rock. Each character chapter has a number of songs that match the genre of the character, and 3 other characters (singer, drummer, bassist) that fit the character. For each chapter the player has to collect a certain number of stars before the character changes into their warrior ego. Also each character has an ability to help collect stars. read more...
